Today was a very special day at the Silver Bay Veterans Home Valor Café as we helped celebrate a remarkable milestone. Home Resident Ken and his wife Martha marked their 55th wedding anniversary together. Since traveling to their favorite restaurant has become more challenging, the Homes team brought the celebration to them. Ken and Martha chose a delicious menu of prime rib, shrimp, baked potato and fresh green beans, followed by a blueberry pie from Rustic Inn for dessert. Tim from Recreation prepared the meal to perfection, making the afternoon truly memorable. The Minnesota Veterans Homes are grateful for opportunities like this to create personalized experiences that help Residents celebrate life’s most meaningful moments.
