On Veterans Day, Minnesota Veterans Homes - Minneapolis came alive with celebration and gratitude. The day began with a decorated vehicle parade that filled campus followed by lively performances from the Klondike Kate’s. Residents enjoyed a comforting lunch of pot roast, carrots, loaded baked potatoes and dessert, generously sponsored by Classic Corvettes of MN. The afternoon program, sponsored by the 7th District VFW, featured remarks from the Commander of the VFW Dept. of MN, Governor Tim Walz and other elected officials, reflecting on the 250th anniversaries of the Marine Corps, Navy and Army.
