The Luverne Veterans Home was proud to host a Quilt of Valor® ceremony for one of their Residents, Stanley, a Korean War Veteran and Marine Corps servicemember, who was nominated by his daughter. The Quilt of Valor® Foundation and its volunteers work to cover Service Members and Veterans touched by war with comforting and healing quilts. Founded in 2003, the mission recognizes the service and sacrifice of those who protect our freedoms. While every Veteran in our Homes is deserving of this honor, we leave the nomination process to families.
