I was selected out of 7,000 applicants from over 120 countries for my first mission to space to analyze a psychological change in perspective and test a seat mechanism that was created to extend the allowed height range. As we approach the transition from a government-led to a private space industry, it’s important that these opportunities become available to countries and regions without a previous space presence.
