Residents at the Silver Bay Veterans Home are getting ready for the Lake County Fair! They've been hard at work growing flowers, herbs, fruits, and vegetables, and this week, they’ll be showcasing a variety of fresh, pickled and baked goods made straight from the garden. A new creation this year? A shortbread cookie (or maybe a donut—we’re still deciding!) topped with homemade lavender sugar. 🪻Cherry pie is also on the menu, thanks to a special request from Coral, our one-year-old Great Pyrenees and beloved pet therapy pup.
