The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) proudly recognizes the 30th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on July 26. The ADA is an important civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public.
At MDVA, we advocate for and support Veterans with disabilities through our Claims division and through partnerships with Veterans Service Organizations such as Minnesota Paralyzed Veterans of America and Disabled American Veterans, Department of Minnesota Additionally, there are several community and State-led organizations that any individual with a disability can connect with to access a wide variety of community, social and advocacy services.
