The Adult Day Center at the Minneapolis Veterans Home is wrapping up the first-ever Spirit Week. Although the program is currently closed to Veterans due to COVID-19 restrictions, during Spirit Week families and Veterans were invited to stop by the Center to pick up a special activity kit and enjoy a hot dog - all delivered safely to their cars. Staff also provided the visitors with “five minutes of fun” interactions. Spouses, families and caregivers were delighted, and many shared that their Veteran had been looking forward to the visit all morning.
