The best sushi spot in all of Carlsbad and if you’ve been, you already know. Blue Ocean Robata & Sushi Bar is tucked right into Carlsbad Village on Madison. Small, intimate, moody evening lighting from the most unique bulb chandelier setup, a separate cocktail bar, a full sushi bar, and a summer cocktail menu worth staying for. I’ve been through this menu more times than I can count and the tempura dynamite roll and the Blue Ocean omakase box are the two things I keep coming back for. Everything here is a ten.
