An entire town risked their lives to protect the lives of others.
During World War II, the people of Le Chambon-sur-Lignon chose to risk everything to protect thousands of Jews from the Holocaust. When Nazi authorities questioned villagers about the whereabouts of Jews, many responded with a simple but powerful truth: “A Jew? I only know human beings.”
History is shaped by people who choose courage over comfort, and humanity over indifference. May we all strive to be Builders like the people of Le Chambon-sur-Lignon.
