Pioneer. Baller. History-maker. On Saturday Beverley Hepworth joined the Class of 2025 and officially became the first Women’s player to be inducted into the British American Football Hall of Fame. A moment to recognise, to celebrate and to mark indefinitely in the Britball history books. Hepworth captained the Great Britain Lions team in their first encounters in 2013 and 2014, both wins against Sweden. An elite athlete who controlled the defensive backfield shutting down opposing passing attacks; she was a founding member of the Teesside Steelers, where she was both the Head Coach and Team Manager.
