During our 156th Commencement Exercises, an early portion of the ceremony was dedicated to special graduation honors, including:
The Philippe B. Piedad Accolade Award, which was presented to Nazariy Drofych ’26 of Kenmore.
The award was instituted as a permanent part of the graduation exercises in memory of Philippe Piedad, a member of the Class of 1993.
It honors a student who demonstrates the admirable characteristics that Phil possessed and shared with us at Canisius.
Chosen by a vote of the administration, faculty and staff, we honor a graduating senior whose quiet inner strength exemplifies the essence of the Canisius spirit through academics, athletics and service.
