These excellent swimmers even have partially webbed feet and are highly social. They also have an impressive vocabulary, using whistles, chirps, barks and even purrs to communicate with one another. Capybaras are herbivorous and primarily graze on grass and aquatic plants, although they have been known to eat other kinds of vegetation such as fruits and tree bark.
