Abbott Northwestern Hospital has been recognized as one of the World’s Best Specialized Hospitals by Newsweek. KFI provided engineering and commissioning services for Abbott Northwestern’s recently completed Central Utility Plant located in South Minneapolis. This project involved master planning to forecast future power demand for a future bed tower and several surrounding buildings in coordination with the hospital facilities team. The plant was also designed to mitigate noise pollution in the neighborhood surrounding the hospital campus.
