Governor Tim Walz has declared today, May 30, Extreme Heat Awareness Day in Minnesota—a critical reminder that our climate is warming and our summers are projected to get hotter due to climate change. At Russell Herder, we’re proud to support the Minnesota Department of Health in launching the Stay Cool MN campaign, helping communities stay safe as temperatures rise. Extreme heat is the deadliest weather-related hazard in the U.S. and affects everyone, including vulnerable populations like older adults, young children, outdoor workers, and those without A/C. We were grateful to work alongside our client to develop a strategic campaign with messaging to reach vulnerable people while providing lifesaving insights. Visit their website for tips on hydration, staying cool, and how to recognize the signs and symptoms of heat-related illnesses: mn.gov/heat #StayCoolMN #HeatPrevention #OutdoorSafety
