For 31 weeks I had to make monthly trips to Temple. Not for peace. Not for growth. For Long John Silver’s. Windows down. Questioning my life choices. Explaining to myself why this was worth a 40 minute drive. I stayed loyal. I never switched sides. Captain D’s knew the deal. That was just a rebound. Now the sign says OPEN and the place looks completely redesigned. Cleaner, fresher, and it definitely needed an update because the old one was at least 35 years old and living off memories.
