BRAVERY On the evening of Feb. 6, Ricardo Davila-DeJesus is alleged to have discharged a .45 caliber pistol near the 3d Cavalry Regiment barracks before being subdued and disarmed by Spc. Anthony Marinelli, Regimental Engineer Squadron; Spc. Hayden Allen, Regimental Engineer Sqdn.; Staff Sgt. Luis Liendo, 4th Sqdn.; and 2nd Lt. Hayden Lewis, 4th Sqdn. After hearing gunshots from their barracks rooms, Marinelli and Allen went to find out what was going on, when they followed the alleged gunman outside. Realizing it was dark and the alleged assailant did not see him, Marinelli went around some sheds in the open field, approached from behind and subdued Davila-DeJesus. After Allen disarmed the suspect, Liendo and Lewis, who were on staff duty at the time, arrived on scene and helped subdue him until military police arrived on the scene. #FortHood #BraveRifles #Heroism Read the full article at forthoodsentinel.com/news/brave-rifles-receive-awards-for-heroism/article_0d518e06-7c6...
