Every year, students from across the Denver area participate in our Student Conservation Showcase to share the conservation projects they've been working on all school year, and this year did not disappoint. 🌿 Meet Crystal Kline, a first-grade teacher at ALSUP Elementary School whose journey started right here at a DZCA teacher professional development program. Inspired by the idea that kids need to love the Earth before they can save it, she took her learnings back to ALSUP and started a Conservation Club. 💚 In just one year, her 22 student members have planted pollinator gardens, partnered with female park rangers at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal, launched a paper towel waste campaign, cleaned up their school grounds, and raised money to support conservation efforts. 🐾 Thank you to Crystal and every student, teacher, and school who showed up to share their incredible work.
