Happy Birthday to lindaronstadtmusic ♥️ Canciones de Mi Padre brought me closer to my Mexican roots and made me fall even more in love with mariachi music. 🇲🇽 The first ranchera I ever learned by heart was “Los Laureles,” through Linda’s interpretation, while on the road to visit my abuelita in Michoacán. It became the song I performed in my very first singing competitions, including my first televised performance on Sabado Gigante and the San Jose Mariachi Festival as a little girl. The song stayed with me for years and even found its way onto my very first album, which I recorded at 10 years old.
