Disgraced singer R. Kelly has formally asked President Donald Trump to commute his 30-year prison sentence. The formal request comes a year after Kelly's attorney, Beau Brindley, publicly requested that the president take a look at the case over allegations of a "murder plot" in prison. The 59-year-old is currently serving most of his sentences simultaneously at a federal facility in North Carolina.
