In the FY27 budget, the D.C. City Council provided funding to the Departments of Public Works and General Services to swap out the city's current trash cans in high-traffic areas for rodent-resistant containers. ⁠ ⁠ Last week, the council also approved new language in the Budget Support Act requiring newly renovated D.C.
