Teddy Long made his feelings on Vince Russo plain on Wrestling’s Road Trip After Hours. Asked for his thoughts on Russo, with a fan noting JBL can’t stand him and co-host Mac Davis considers Russo a friend, Long said, “Well, I really have no comment about him. I can’t stand him either.” Davis suggested the two would actually get along fine. Long shut it down: “Really? No, no, no, no, we wouldn’t. I have a lot of respect for the wrestling business. I’ve been doing this a long time, and anytime somebody would get on national TV live and tell Hulk Hogan to kiss their ass, I mean, on TV, come on. There’s certain things you don’t do.” Long continued, “Then you got kids that are watching the show. You got them that they’re in the arena.
