Vice TV previewed Dark Side of the Ring episode three, focusing on Hulk Hogan’s October 2013 departure.
After his contract expired, TNA Wrestling wrote him off television with an on-screen segment where President Dixie Carter physically begged him to stay in the ring. It was his last time on TNA television.
Eric Bischoff said: “It was probably my idea to have Dixie go as far as she did trying to get Hulk Hogan to stay.”
Vince Russo: “And then, because Hogan’s got creative control, they’re going to write him out that way to completely 1000% humiliate her. Humiliate her. That shows you his character. That is disgusting.”
Jeff Jarrett: “What an incredible masterpiece of a job that Hulk and Eric and whoever else was involved convinced her to do that. I would have never done that if I was Dixie. It said everything about her knowledge of the industry.”
Dark Side of the Ring airs Tuesday at 9:00 PM on Vice TV.
