Ryan Ashe was a trade deadline acquisition for the Trappers. He stepped into the roster and played a critical roll for the team bringing experience and willingness to the forward group. Ryan had the following to say about his experience with the team while in a playoff push: “If you want to get better and are willing to work for it, the Trappers is a great place to play. I came in at trade deadline not knowing anyone. By the end of the season it felt like I’d been apart of the team all year. The culture is great, the guys are welcoming, and it’s a place where you can grow as both a hockey player and a person”. The Trappers are entering the tenth season as a Junior organization and the first season in the new BCHC—British Columbia’s Hockey Canada Sanctioned Jr’A’ league.
