Before plyometrics or modern training systems, Maasai ceremonial jumping (adumu) was part of rites of passage not "exercise". It was a cultural expression of identity, unity, and transition into adulthood.
While not performed as “training,” the movement naturally displays strength, balance, coordination, and endurance; qualities now studied and measured in modern exercise science.
Movement was lived, embedded in culture, and expressed through tradition.
