Formed in July 2019 by former Brave Blossoms captain Toshiaki Hirose, Scrum Unison has brought musical omotenashi (hospitality) to the Rugby World Cup by teaching local fans to sing the national anthems of the 19 visiting countries. Cofounders Takumi Murata and Miri Tanaka were busy at Tokyo Stadium on Sunday, guiding fans through the national anthem of South Africa ahead of the Springboks' quarterfinal clash against Japan.
