A new driver’s path to Tour does not happen in one range session. It takes miles, conversations, ball flights, small adjustments and the kind of trust that can only be earned in front of the player.
For JJ Van Wezenbeeck, Senior Director of Tour Promotions, that journey means bringing the New Titleist GTS drivers to the places where players do their work. Sea Island. Jacksonville. Columbus. Practice grounds, quiet ranges and tight windows of time where every shot has to say something.
Along the way, J.T. Poston, Brian Harman, Ludvig Åberg, Ryan Gerard and Russell Henley each bring a different standard to the process. One player may already love the driver in his bag. Another may need a specific launch window, a more stable spin number or a shape that feels familiar under pressure. The challenge is never simply making a driver faster. It is finding the setup that gives a player a reason to keep going.
