This week, we visited St Botolph’s CE Academy in Knottingley near our Yorkshire HQ, where the team’s Marketing & Brand Manager spent time speaking with the school’s Year 6 students as they finish their primary education and move on to secondary school. The discussion focused on STEM outreach programmes, initiatives, and how students can follow their aspirations towards a career in motorsport as well giving the 10-11 year olds an up-close and personal experience with one of the team’s championship-winning LMP2 cars. In addition, it was a fantastic opportunity to share the story behind our team, the championships we compete in and talking about our exciting partnership with the McLaren Hypercar programme. The students gained an insight into the teamwork and engineering that goes into competing at the highest level of endurance racing.
