Former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra was released from prison on Monday after being granted parole last month and will serve the remaining months of his one-year sentence at home. Thaksin will wear an electronic monitoring bracelet until he completes his sentence, which ends on Sept. 9.
