The Leisie family in Cranberry Township hasn’t missed a tournament since they started in 1982. What began as a group of high school friends trying to stay in shape during the offseason has morphed over almost 45 years into a family ritual that can’t be skipped. Chris Leisie’s front yard morphs each year into three lined badminton courts with one set aside for doubles play. “We have people coming from as far away as Idaho, Denver, Maryland, Boston, Missouri … they come from all over the country,” Leisie said.
