Yasiin Bey (fka Mos Def) made a surprise appearance at MIKE's Young World Festival July 11 at Herbert Von King Park in Brooklyn. He came out following sets from SALIMATA, Niontay, ERISTHEPLANET, and MIKE's Band of the Century.⁠ During the set, he debuted an unreleased track — "Sunshine Screwface" (seen in the clip)— and announced a forthcoming album, playing an Alchemist-produced song from it for the crowd. ⁠ Bey's set was a homecoming to Bed-Stuy.
