Two people were taken into custody after an out-of-control car crashed into a home on Staten Island. ⁠ ⁠ The white Nissan Rogue smashed through a fence and into a house on the corner of Grasmere and Mosel avenues before 5 a.m. The family who lives there was sleeping at the time, but none of them were hurt in the crash.⁠ ⁠ Meanwhile, a man who lives on the other side of Staten Island had his phone light up after video of the scene spread. That’s because he had reported his vehicle stolen on Sunday, and his coworkers with the city’s Department of Transportation spotted bright orange vests in the trunk.⁠ ⁠ “Knew it’d be found, didn’t think it would be found in someone’s house,” the car owner said. ⁠ ⁠ It's not yet clear what caused the driver to lose control or what charges the pair taken into custody may face.⁠ ⁠ #statenisland #nbc4ny #crash
