A 21-year-old Glendale mother met a man from social media in person for the first time. Days later, police found remains believed to be hers buried near Lake Pleasant.
Arianna Bailey Jones went out with 24-year-old Dominic Rodolico after the two connected online. When her family went two days without hearing from her, they reported her missing.
Investigators used surveillance video and cellphone data to trace the pair toward a remote desert area near Lake Pleasant. On July 11, cadaver dogs found human remains in a shallow grave.
Police arrested Rodolico that same day and say evidence suggests the crime was planned. He is charged with first-degree murder and is being held on a $2 million bond.
