A 21-year-old Glendale mother disappeared after meeting a man she connected with on social media for the first time. Days later, police found remains believed to be hers buried near Lake Pleasant.
Arianna Bailey Jones met 24-year-old Dominic Rodolico in person on July 5 after the two connected online. When her family went two days without hearing from her, they reported her missing.
Investigators used cellphone data and surveillance video to trace the pair toward a remote desert area near Lake Pleasant. On July 11, cadaver dogs located human remains in a shallow grave.
Police arrested Rodolico that same day. Detectives say he had visited the area earlier and purchased supplies allegedly used to bury her, leading them to believe the crime was planned.
He has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held on a $2 million bond.
Arianna was also the mother of a 2-year-old son. Her family says she wanted to build a future for him.
