Uptown Phoenix is about to lose one of its longtime taco-and-margarita hangouts—but the replacement could become one of Central Avenue’s biggest new restaurant openings. 🌮 joyridetacohouse at Central and Colter will serve its final customers on August 2, ending more than a decade in the neighborhood. The original Gilbert location will remain open. Before the Phoenix location closes, it’s running Taco Tuesday every day from 2 p.m. until close, with select tacos priced from $2.50 to $3.50 and select margaritas for $6. Then the space will be transformed into ladoaladophx a new Sonoran-inspired restaurant created by Chiwas Hospitality Group and upwardprojects.
