Two Gilbert men were arrested after police say an attempt to take a felony domestic-violence suspect into custody ended with a police vehicle being hit, a crash and a brief chase. Detectives stopped the vehicle shortly after 8 p.m. on July 10 near Val Vista Drive and Pecos Road. Police say the driver struck a police cruiser and sped away before crashing near Val Vista and Drivers Way. The passenger was arrested at the crash scene. Police say the driver ran but was caught nearby. The suspects were identified as Javier Ernesto Enriquez Fimbres, 20, and Oscar Francisco Enriquez Fimbres, 18. Javier faces charges including aggravated assault, burglary, disorderly conduct and harassment. Oscar faces charges of aggravated assault against a first responder and unlawful flight.
