Ten people were arrested after allegedly traveling to Apache Junction to meet children they had been communicating with online, police said. The arrests happened during a two-day undercover operation on June 5 and 6, when investigators posed as minors and arranged meetings at a controlled location. According to Apache Junction Police, none of those arrested lived in the city—they traveled from other Arizona communities believing they were meeting children under the age of consent. All 10 were booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center on felony charges that included luring a minor for sexual exploitation, attempted sexual conduct with a minor, sex trafficking, aggravated luring and misconduct involving weapons.
