July 16th is World Snake Day! This day is a global awareness observance dedicated to appreciating and understanding the diversity, preservation, and ecological importance of snakes. For today, Channey letterpress printed a linoleum cut of a snake that was used for our 2025 Lunar New Year event at the Sacramento History Museum for the Year of the Snake. This linocut was engraved by a colleague who works with Channey at her other job.
