💪 Can Creatine Actually Help Fight Cancer? 🤔
As a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, I get asked about creatine all the time. While it’s one of the most well-studied supplements for supporting muscle strength and performance, a study published in the April 2026 issue of iScience (PMID: 42006288) has generated excitement for another reason.
🧬 Researchers found that creatine appeared to:
✅ Slow tumor growth in mice animal models
✅ Enhance certain immune cell activity by improving dendritic cell function
🚨 But here’s the important catch…
This was preclinical research in mice 🐭 —not a human clinical trial. Historically, only about 10% of findings from animal studies ultimately translate into effective treatments in humans.
So while the results are promising, we still do not have high-quality HUMAN evidence showing that creatine treats...
