Fourth grade, kickball. My friend Andrew kicked the ball because I couldn’t. I scored. And the pitcher looked at the catcher and said, ‘How are you gonna let a cripple score on you?’ I was nine. For years I thought my body was my biggest disability. The reason people didn’t like me. The reason I’d never fit in. Then I started training. Not for likes, to prove something to myself in private first. ‘You get praised in public for what you do in private.’ That line is real. I lived it. The body got built. Third place in my first competition. One arm. No legs. The people who think they can’t show up consistently don’t have a discipline problem. They have the same operating system problem I had. Comment DIAGNOSTIC if that line just hit somewhere. #mentaltoughness #unconsciousgoal #bodybuildingmindset #identityconsistency #highperformermindset
