A WOMAN. NOT ROADKILL. This photograph was taken after the recovery of a woman whose remains had been reported repeatedly. For approximately nine months, the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Office (Captain Brian Johnston) and the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator did not recover her despite repeated notifications. When they finally responded... They placed her remains on the hood of a government vehicle. Not inside. Not with the dignity every human being deserves. On the hood. Think about that. This is the same Office of the Medical Investigator that has publicly accused humanitarian volunteers of spreading misinformation and refused to participate in interviews if Battalion Search & Rescue is involved.
