The trip that almost wasn’t. Two weeks before our departure date we got a notice from the US Department of State that the boys’ passport applications weren’t approved because their original birth certificates weren’t included in the application sent in by USPS. I spent well over 5+ hours on hold and talking with people in different departments, but the most kind and helpful was Nannette in Colorado Senator John Hickenlooper’s office. She was our constituent advocate and I believe her persistence is the only reason we were able to get everything pushed through in time. Thank you so much, senatorhick + your amazing team!!!
