Our hearts are constantly pulled in a thousand directions. We strive in pursuit of comfort, success, understanding, and security. We are convinced that the next achievement or one more possession will finally satisfy our ravenous hunger. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there were one pursuit that could rightly order every other desire? Though trials and uncertainty pressed in from every side, David focused it all on the LORD. Nothing else compared to being in the presence of the LORD, the One from whom every good thing comes and who alone satisfies the deepest longings of the heart.
