Hello everyone and Happy New Year! In this video, I help a patient correct her tailor's bunion on both her feet during the same visit. For those that don't know, a tailor's bunion is a prominence of the fifth metatarsal bone at the base of the little toe. The metatarsals are the five long bones of the foot. The prominence that characterizes a tailor's bunion occurs at the metatarsal head, located at the far end of the bone where it meets the toe.
Overtime, a tailor's bunion causes your toe to turn in toward the other toes. If it becomes severe enough, your toe may begin to grow over or under other toes.
