A Womens Sports Legend 🏀 I grew up an athlete playing many sports that included basketball since I was 10 years old. I played AAU that took me to tournaments around the country, and played on the Varsity team in High School. The WNBA had not been established yet when I was younger, so I looked up to women playing collegiate sports and the Women’s National Team for inspiration. I didn’t go to UCONN, but I grew up in Hillsborough, NJ, and my parents would bring me to Rutgers games during her time at the University of Connecticut when they came to Jersey. Those years truly helped shape me as an athlete, so what a full circle moment to meet her at Fanatics Fest as a woman working in sports.
