After burying nearly 14 birds that had collided with the windows of her home, Punita Koustubhan decided that she could not let this keep happening. That experience led her to establish Bird Safe Utah, a donor-funded program offering free home assessments and bird-safe window installations. Now expanding into Summit and Wasatch counties, trained volunteers are helping homeowners identify problem windows and install Bird Divert Clear UV or Feather Friendly visual markers on the exterior of the glass.
