For University of Cincinnati alumna Karen Tupman, being a Bearcat for Life means carrying forward a family tradition that spans four generations. ❤️ Karen’s grandmother studied accounting at UC during the 1923-24 academic year, and both of her parents attended the university in the late 1940s and early 1950s. One of her most meaningful UC memories came while attending a Bearcats football game with her father and grandfather. “As we were singing the alma mater, I glanced up at my dad, and he had one tear rolling down his cheek,” Karen shared. “He was so happy to sing the same alma mater as his daughter.” Bearcats for Life celebrates the lasting relationships, traditions, and experiences that connect alumni to the University of Cincinnati throughout their lives. For Karen, that connection is rooted in family history, shared memories, and generations of pride.
