Downtown Ottawa has now seen THREE serious violent incidents in LESS than a week‼️😰🔪 A 28-year-old man was rushed to hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition Saturday afternoon after being found with a laceration to his face near the 100 block of George Street in the ByWard Market. Police responded to reports of an assault with a weapon, and several cruisers were seen outside the Salvation Army Booth Centre. This is also the second reported incident this week involving injuries to the face, after a woman in her 20s reportedly suffered stab wounds to her face during Tuesday’s incident near Rideau and Cumberland streets. The latest assault follows two separate st*bbings earlier this week. A man was critically injured Monday night during an alleged attempted robbery near George and Dalhousie streets, while the woman was seriously injured Tuesday.
