A man is a critical condition in hospital after being stabbed in Manchester city centre. Police were on patrol on Peter Street, a busy street lined with bars and restaurants just off Deansgate, at around 3.40am this morning (Sunday, July 19) when they found the injured man. Officers found he had suffered stab wound injuries and gave him first aid. The 31-year-old was rushed to hospital from the scene.
