Dogs are fascinating.
We know they can be trained to detect changes in blood sugar, alert to seizures, identify some cancers and even respond to signs of stress.
It's easy to see these service dogs as extraordinary.
But here's the interesting part: training didn't give them the ability to notice subtle changes in humans. It simply taught them which observations mattered and how to communicate them.
Our own dogs aren't trained to alert us.
Yet they're still observing us and responding in their own way.
Which makes me wonder:
What are our own dogs noticing about us every day that nobody has taught them to tell us?
