Reckless driving, a loaded ghost gun tossed from a vehicle, a driver on probation and a passenger with an outstanding warrant.
This is what our Special Assignment Team (SAT) deputies encountered Tuesday night while patrolling Canyon Country.
Deputies observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Sierra Highway. As deputies continued to monitor the vehicle into a residential neighborhood, they saw items tossed from one of the windows. Those items turned out to be a loaded ghost gun and additional ammunition.
A traffic stop was conducted. The male adult passenger, was immediately recognized as having an outstanding warrant for assault. He was ultimately arrested on multiple felony weapons-related charges and the outstanding warrant.
